Allbirds Tree Breezers and Rothy's The Point Unboxing and Review

On my last trip to San Francisco, I decided to go on a hunt for some new shoes. I've recently been looking for more sustainable fashion brands, and honestly am highly influenced by all of those darn social media ads that show up on my feed!

Two brands in particular caught my eye. [Guess those ads are working!]

I was so intrigued by these brands! I’ve been trying to find ways to change my lifestyle to become more sustainable, mindful and conscious of what I’m putting out into the world.

Inspired by those who can and have taken the leap straight into changing daily habits, I wanted to play a part in this movement and wanted to start replacing things I used and support brands who are trying to do good and care about the earth.

I hesitated a bit. Shoes from both brands, cost wise, were a bit of an investment. Moving away from materials I was most familiar with scared me. What if it didn’t work out? What if I didn’t like what I spent my hard earned money on?

There’s no movement towards change if you continue to hold yourself back. After researching their websites, decided that I need to try a pair of shoes and decided to visit the Allbirds and Rothy's stores in the city.

In my case, I felt that visiting the store was the best case scenario. They may not have had every single thing I was looking for [based on my preferences] but I was still able to find shoes I was excited to try.

Watch this video to find out more about my experience and how I made my final selections.
