Rothy's The Chelsea Unboxing and First Impressions

After trying my first pair of Rothy’s [see previous blog post here] I knew I had to get a second pair, but wanted to try another style. Unfortunately, when I visited the Rothy’s store in San Francisco, they didn’t have a Chelsea in my size to try on.

The Chelsea is inspired by the Chelsea style boot, but I’d consider this a cool mid/high top sneaker. I’ve been looking for an easy, casual sneaker that I could wear on the weekends. The search has been going on for a while, since most of my sneakers tend to be athletic, and I needed to change it up a bit.

Rothy’s released some limited edition colors late November, around Black Friday, and this metallic blue caught my eye!

A couple of months earlier when I visited the store and got some sizing advice from the sales associate, they told me that the Chelsea would best fit in my normal size. I ended up purchasing a size 6, with the plan to wear these with socks like regular sneakers. 6 would be my regular size in sneakers, and these are a good fit with a thin sock but I can also wear them with classic Bombas.
